Schedules
Workflow schedules automate future runs of a selected Workflow Instance. You can provide workflow configuration and run the instance once at a specified time or repeatedly using a five-field cron expression.
Configuration
A workflow schedule combines a Workflow Instance, its runtime configuration, and when it should run. This lets you reuse the same Workflow Instance for one-time jobs or recurring cron jobs without manually starting each Workflow Run.
Use the Create Workflow Schedule endpoint to create a workflow schedule.
Dynamic Workflow Content
When a Workflow Instance references a Git branch, scheduled runs use the latest Workflow Definition Template. Future runs therefore reflect manifest updates without requiring you to recreate the schedule.
The saved workflow configuration is validated against the latest Workflow Definition Template before each run.
Manage and Monitor
Use the List Workflow Schedules and Get Workflow Schedule endpoints to view workflow schedules and their status. Use the List Workflow Schedule Executions endpoint to review execution history and associated Workflow Runs.
The Play Workflow Schedule endpoint starts a Workflow Run immediately, allowing you to test the saved configuration without waiting for the next scheduled time. Workflow schedules can also be updated, cancelled, or deleted. Cancelling or deleting a workflow schedule prevents future scheduled runs but does not affect previous Workflow Runs.
