World-Class Simulation Scale

Sedaro orchestrates your entire ModSim ecosystem — but orchestration is only part of the story. When it comes to simulation fidelity, scale, and speed, Sedaro-native simulations are world-class.

100x-Scale Parametric Simulation

Most simulation tools force a trade-off: you can model a few things in high detail, or many things at low fidelity. Sedaro eliminates that compromise.

Sedaro routinely executes simulations with millions of parameters — multi-agent, multi-physics, and multi-domain — distributing computational load across hundreds of CPU cores in our hardened cloud infrastructure. Where competing tools max out at thousands of parameters or a handful of agents, Sedaro handles orders of magnitude more, delivering 100x the parametric scale of conventional alternatives.

Multi-Physics, Multi-Domain, Multi-Timescale

Real systems do not operate in a single physics domain on a single clock. A satellite constellation involves orbital mechanics ticking at one rate, thermal dynamics at another, RF link analysis at another, and autonomous decision-making reacting to events in real time. Forcing all of these onto a single timestep either wastes compute or sacrifices accuracy.

Sedaro solves this with adaptive, per-parameter timescales. Each parameter in a simulation can be solved on a different — and dynamic — timestep, matched to the physics it represents. Fast-changing states update frequently. Slow-evolving states update only when needed. The runtime handles synchronization automatically.

The result is simulations that span:

DomainExamples
PowerSolar array generation, battery state-of-charge, load scheduling
ThermalComponent temperatures, radiator performance, orbital thermal cycling
Command & ControlTasking, scheduling, mode transitions, autonomous responses
CommunicationsRF and optical link budgets, network routing, bandwidth allocation
Data HandlingOnboard storage, downlink prioritization, data latency
Autonomous LogicRule-based and adaptive agent behaviors, decision trees
Human BehaviorsOperator actions, crew scheduling, human-in-the-loop interactions
Threat ModelingAdversarial actions, vulnerability assessment, resilience analysis

All of these physics and behaviors execute together, in a single coherent simulation, at the fidelity each demands.

From Model to Simulation in Minutes

Sedaro-native models are composed in SedaroML — a declarative, language-agnostic modeling framework that separates what you are modeling from how it gets simulated. When you define a system in SedaroML, the platform's compiler optimizes it for execution — whether that execution happens at scale in the cloud or on lightweight compute at the edge.

This means:

  • Asking a new question is as simple as updating the model. Change the behaviors and parameters you care about and run again. The platform handles compilation, resource allocation, distribution, and data collection automatically.
  • The same model runs everywhere. A simulation developed in the cloud deploys to edge hardware without rework — the compiler targets the runtime, not the other way around.
  • Models compose naturally. Need to add a new agent, a new subsystem, or a new physics domain? Add it to the model. The compiler figures out how to integrate it into the existing simulation.

You Don't Start from Zero

Sedaro ships with comprehensive physics and model libraries — covering orbital mechanics, attitude dynamics, power systems, thermal, communications, and more. These libraries are the starting point, not the ceiling. Customer teams build from and augment them, extending coverage to their specific systems and missions.

This means your team starts with an existing foundation:

  • Day one: Run meaningful simulations using Sedaro's standard libraries
  • Week one: Customize and extend models to reflect your specific system
  • Ongoing: Your models grow with your program, accumulating institutional knowledge in a reusable, version-controlled form

And you're not doing it alone. Sedaro engineers work alongside your team to make sure your implementation is fast and productive — from initial onboarding through operational deployment.

tip

The combination of Sedaro's orchestration platform with its native simulation engine is what makes the whole greater than the sum of its parts. You get a platform that can orchestrate any tool — and a simulation engine that can handle the hardest problems natively, at a scale no one else can match.
